Instruments will be returned for insufficient funds.

Pursuant to Texas Local Government Code § 118.011(b)(2), the Terrell County Clerk’s Office may charge a reasonable fee for conducting records searches, particularly for records that are not electronically indexed and require a manual search of physical archives.

A $10.00 manual search fee will be assessed for records requiring staff time to locate. In addition, copies of documents are $1.00 per page.

 

Due to legislative changes, beginning January 1, 2026, all persons presenting a document for filing (in person) into the real property records of Terrell County, are required to provide a photo ID to the Clerk.  Texas Local Government Code §191.010
